We had an old water heater that went belly-up. Of course we were unaware of what was going on until the damage was discovered. We had a company contracted to do the water damage drying-out and mold removal. I turned to Angi's List for possible recommendations for reconstruction, that's when OPM's name showed up. I have to admit I was a bit leery of a company named Octopus. But, all it took was an initial meeting with Jared. He expressed a lot of confidence in how and what his company could do, plus when they could begin work. Other companies stated they could start in 3 to 4 months, Jared said they could start as soon as remediation was completed. Jared and Sheridan were true to their word about getting contractors in to complete every phase of reconstruction, from plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, carpenters, flooring, painters and environmental testing. Octopus also handled all the necessary transactions with our insurance company. Jared and Sheridan made sure that we were kept well informed of everything going on, sometimes on a daily basis. It was just under 2 months from the time the damage was discovered to end of reconstruction. The final outcome looks amazing, my wife loves the new floors. If we ever have another problem Octopus will be the first number we'll call.
We finished building our house in October of 2022 and not even a year later we had an upstairs toilet that ended up flooding the majority of our house. Needless to say we were absolutely devastated and entirely overwhelmed. As first time homeowners we hadn't a clue where to start. Dave Daily at Country Financial referred us to OPM. Jared was such a bright light on one of our worst days. After coming to our home and walking us through the process he wasted zero time gathering subcontractors that were perfect for our project. Additionally, he made time to connect with our adjustor Kelly Ash when she came to inspect the damage creating a relationship that further helped expedite things. Within a few days we had a cemented timeline and various subcontractors at the house. Our project went seamlessly. Communication was prompt and always fit our schedule. Less than 40 days later we're back in our home, which is no small feat considering we had to replace the continuous flooring on both first and second floors of the house amongst other damaged parts. As someone who works in the construction industry I highly recommend Jared and his business partner Sheridan if you want the project done right.
Jared and his team were extremely helpful. They made my situation a lot easier and were there for me every step of the way. They even got on the phone with my insurance when I was hitting a dead end with them and got things moving again. They were punctual, communicated very well and did an overall amazing job. My home is back to being my home and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Excellent! The whole kitchen remodel went smoothly and timely. Jared was so easy to work with and an excellent communicator. His expertise helped me make better and more informed decisions. My kitchen went from outdated to light and beautiful! He was patient with me when I changed my mind a few times and he made whatever I wanted happen! He also saved me money in the end! Jared was wonderful to work with. He was always very prompt in all communications, and was so great at helping us find options to stay in budget with our bathroom remodel. I appreciated the attention to detail, down to the last bit of touch up work and clean up that he gave to our project. It turned out beautifully and I will definitely be working with him on future projects.
I had the pleasure of working with Jared utilizing a different company he was with at the time. He helped me in so many ways with billing and insurance and was my go to for any questions we had in the restoration process. He helped facilitate answers for me from other divisions and was my go-to for management of the project. The team did a great job to get our home back to a healthy state in order for my husband to return home due to a compromised immune system. Octopus PM helped us rebuild a primary bedroom suite after a burst pipe flooded the space. Overall, Jared and his contractors were helpful, courteous and professional. What I was most impressed with was their project management skills, and their ability to navigate complex insurance claims on our behalf. We've completed a few renovations in our home, and I haven't seen a team with that complete skill set. We were able to relax and trust that they would resolve everything to our satisfaction (and ensure that we were reimbursed by our insurance company for all possible expenses). I highly recommend them!
